Indonesia trains its citizens to deal with marine mammal strandings

In an effort to educate the public and help prevent future strandings, the Indonesian government have trained over 900 people in how to respond to a stranding event, with the help of groups like Whale Stranding Indonesia. A particular focus was put on citizens likely to encounter or be called to a stranding, such as Government officials, law enforcers, veterinary students and fishermen.
