The largest stranding event of bottlenose whales in Ireland we covered here had ended deadly for seven of the animals. Only one could be refloated and has been monitored as best as possible since then.
Sadly, it was confirmed to have died the following morning and has not been seen again since then. The local Irish Whale and Dolphin Group has asked the public to report any sightings to allow further sampling to possibly reveal more details about its death and the stranding event.
